Coincidence?

on

I was randomly browsing Youtube, trying to find a video to share for today’s post. I don’t feel like writing much and the only song going through my head is the one that the whole world has been singing this past week: Adele’s Hello. So sharing that would be redundant because you cannot escape that song and I guess we have gotten sick of it by now.

Somehow though, Youtube recommended I watch the latest video by World Order, a Japanese group known for their slow-walking dance. It got so famous that last season The Amazing Race featured it as one of their first challenges. And that’s how I was introduced to them, despite not knowing a single word of Japanese. Oh and it stuck.

Turns out, their latest video was shot in Paris, featuring iconic locations such as The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, The Arc De Triumph, and Notre Dame.

Then at the halfway mark, the shot cuts to one of the German flag and there they are, dancing right in front of the Brandenburg Gate, the East Side Gallery, the TV Tower, Neptune’s Fountain, and Alexanderplatz.

But it’s not just that. Judging by how the locations looked, the video was shot at the same time we were there. What an awesome coincidence!

Too bad we missed our moment of fame as those were all locations we visited during our trip, we just never saw the crew. If we did, I would’ve totally walked into the frame, because I would have wanted to immortalize being there on our honeymoon in this cool way.

Oh well.

Here’s the video for your enjoyment. The choreograpy, as with their other videos, is totally on point, and I’m sure many will spend hours trying to imitate them. The melody sounds great too!

  1. I love this video!! Are they a proper music group or is this done just for fun?

It’s really cool, no? They are an actual music group and they are really popular in Japan. Their self-titled single “World Order” is very catchy and popularized their slow-walking dance.
