Paris has the Pont des Arts, famous for the locks that used to adorn its sides. Lovers from all over the world flock to lock in their love in one of the most romantic cities in the world.
Berlin could be as furthest from a romantic city as possible, with its history more commonly associated with war and division and conflict. Sure, it’s beautiful and poor but sexy, just not romantic.
But along the Spree River, just behind the East Side Gallery, which the largest stretch left of the Berlin Wall and the world’s largest open air gallery, there’s a tiny bit of wiring, where Berliners and the many, many visitors that come into the city have made their own.
